Davids Medienkritik says the fact that a black banner with the word "JUDEN" [Jews] on it was recently used to insult a rival team at a German soccer match is "disturbing" even though Germany has "made enormous efforts post WWII to eradicate anti-Semitism." Yeah. Considering where they started, enormous efforts were obviously in order. But if you've ever heard anti-"Zionist" Germans talk about Israel, the JUDEN sign doesn't come as THAT big a surprise. As Susanne Urban writes in "Being Leftist and Anti-Semitic in Germany":
In Germany the circle between Right and Left, between anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism, seems finally to have closed. Israel is now blamed for worldwide problems, just as Jews were accused as the source of misfortunes during the Middle Ages. The centuries-old practice of demonizing Jews has now been transferred to the state of Israel, leading to its delegitimization and isolation amid open calls for its destruction.
The extreme leftist trend in Germany contains elements that envision a world cleansed of the Jewish state.

Lord help us.

Funy that. And here I was just thinking that in the letigious world courts of the UN the Jews could probably bite off a decent chunk of land from Germany for that whole "Holocaust" thing.

Judenrein, Zionismusfrei...call it what they may, they just keep at it. I am embarrassed I learned their damned language.

Yes, I've removed a couple of comments. Scribal Terror doesn't like humorless vulgarity or personal sniping.

What do you think this is, the fricken internet? This is my living room.

Sorry gail. I saw FC's comment and assumed vulgarity was "Okay". It won't happen again.

That's OK Apologist. He got it started and I deleted him as well. Vulgarity is fine as long as it's intended for sport or humor, but I try to keep actual ill will to a minimum because we're an "intimate gathering place" and we try to keep it friendly. Most of my annoyance was directed at FC, who should know better, and who is, BTW, my son.

We must spank him. There's no need to waste a perfectly good opportunity to spank someone.
