CNN reports that "A total of 212 Burmese pythons have been killed or removed from the [Everglades National Park] or adjacent lands since 1995, including 95 last year alone." Burmese pythons are large. One Burmese python was found dead as a result of choking on an alligator. Even so, I'll take the Burmese pythons over the "racoon-sized African rats."
Come to think of it, we haven't seem AmesJay around lately . . .

Insert "choking python joke" here.

It a good time to live in Michigan. Have I ever mentioned that we only have ONE dangerous snake, and it is one of the least aggressive.

That might be true, but we also have mosquitos that will take your head off.
