Come on in and talk. Or drop off one of your random bursts of verbal energy -- poem, limerick, story, top ten list, clerihew, essay, alliterative poem, rant, Surrealist or or Dadaist poem, parody, cento, dirty joke, amusing syllepsis, haiku, dirty haiku . . . to share.

Who is John Galt ?
I'll bet pounds to pence that every one of those greedy corporate execs that sold their companies, clients and shareholders down the river with hinky, high risk business deals as they themselves raked in fortunes in bonus money, then had the gall to fly to Washington to beg for more out of the public coffer, all secretly see themselves as John Galt.. the noble capitalist bearing the weight of the world on their broad shoulders.. fueling the world with their productive genius... when in fact they never shrugged.. they just sucked the lifeblood from our collective financial veins with a remorseless morality of a latter day Nosferatu ...
John Galt is dead..

Thank you, veterans! I have the flag out today, hope everyone else does, too.
Re: Atlas Shrugged- for me, it was a bit like a libertarian version of the Left Behind series- fiction as a vehicle for making a point. Of course, Ayn Rand was a much better writer.

Happy Veteran's Day to all (including Mother Webb, who served as a WAC in the "Big One" - WWII).
OT - but I have deactivated my Facebook account (and am trying really hard to purge it altogether). Why you might ask?
Happy to answer: Trojan.Win32.Crypto and Trojan Win32.FakeAntiSpyware. Both from Facebook. Both infected the store computer and my home computer. Nasty beasties. They hide themselves within AVG antivirus rootkits and update managers, partially delete and upon reboot, reinfect the system from different non-allocated system memory resources. My computer tech-guy says they are especially embedded in "Send Me and Cup of Coffee" or "Send me a Smile" or "Send me a harsh spanking" messages (okay, I made up that last one...)
PhaseBuk? You got it right, Scottie. I'm done with it, but have found that closing my account entirely will take hours of deleting friends, photos, and postings and begging the FB administrator to make it happen.
I much prefer secure email. Love to all Scrbalistas...
Sleepy tight all...
