Reading Charles Williams' Descent Into Hell.
So far, I'm learning that I like Charles Williams' writing. Just started the book last night.

I've just gotten hold of Lionel Shriver's novel The Post-Birthday World, mostly because I didn't know where to start in Shriver's oeuvre and the library had two copies of this and none of the more recent So Much for That, which people have recommended to me for much of the year.

Reading "The Deptford Trilogy" by Robertson Davies, apparently entwined with Jungian archetypes, which fly right over my simple brain, but I love his Dickensian narrative style and artful turns of phrases.
