Here is Paperclip, ostensibly dead on the floor of the reception room at her school (which is also a large Methodist church) following the eighth grade production of "Little Women," in which she played Beth, the one with the delicate constitution. Due to time constraints and brutal editing, Beth did not have the opportunity to die onstage, as Beths rightly and properly should do, so the death scene had to be performed after celebratory punch and ice cream.
