I wanted to post this yesterday for Mother's Day, but couldn't find it. This is my mom with Laura when she was a newborn. Look at how tiny she was compared with my mother's hands. I think she weighed about 4.5 lbs. when that was taken. My mother has since passed away.
Wow, man, she's like, really stoned.

A belated Happy Mother's Day to you Gail.
What a sweet picture.
When I was home at Christmas, my Mom and I went through stacks of pictures, and there were several of my grandfather and my great-grandparents holding me just like Paperclip. I hadn't seen a lot of them before, and I was thrilled when my Mom told me to take them with me.

Thanks, AGR, and happy Mother's Day to your mom too.
Yeah, Craig, we like to keep 'em doped up. Cuts down on the noise.

Sure, you know, a little whiskey in the milk goes a long way.

Victorian era had OTC opium-alcohol combos for babies:
Sales of Godfrey's Cordial, a soothing syrup of opium tincture effective against colic, were prodigious. But Godfrey's Cordial had its competitors: Street's Infants' Quietness, Atkinson's Infants' Preservative, and Mrs Winslow's Soothing Syrup.

Mrs. Winslow's Soothing Syrup is what I'm after. For me.

You may have it, but only under Cider House Rules.

Beat me to it, Ana. Can anybody score me some of that?

Or that Indian festival potent potable. Whatever. I'd just like to alter my state of consciousness a little bit. Ben and Jerry's isn't doing it.
