Tomorrow is the opening of Haggis Season. BalBlair Single Malt Scotch Whiskey is sponsoring a hunt, but I believe you have to be in Scotland to participate. In lieu of that, you can read the Haggisclopedia which debunks myths such as the mistaken belief that haggis is a "sheep's stomach stuffed with meat and oatmeal."
Thanks for the tip to new Neighbors, Joated and Navigator of Compass Points.
Last January was the first time in years I haven't organised a local Burns Night celebration. We always got a haggis, and often had veggie haggis made as well. I hadn't thought to do a local Burns Night in 2006, as I was supposed to be flown to Pennsylvania to entertain for one there, but it turns out they're not holding one after all, and I just get paid for doing nothing. A nice change from my usual kill-myself-with-work-for-no-pay routine.

Nice twist of fate. Maybe you could use the money to buy a haggis.

Keep the haggis. I'll take the single malt.
