Eyeball injections

Having just experienced a vaguely creepy but reasonably painless procedure  involving a couple of injections in my left eyeball, I found this threat from an animal rights group against an animal experimenter a bit bizarre to say the least:

"Rosenbaum, you need to watch your back because next time you are in the operating room or walking to your office you just might be facing injections into your eyes like the primates, you sick twisted f---."

I keep substituting comparable procedures like "having your blood drawn," and "getting a flu shot" and finding they just come up short in the fear and trembling department. If these people really want to scare the crap out of this Rosenbaum person, they ought to threaten him with something that really hurts, like a mammogram.
