I can only assume that the deer had not yet noticed the coneflowers. My experience is that had she done so, the second photo would look considerably different.


They weren't in exactly the same part of the part, but there's nothing to stop the twenty-some deer from eating all the plantings, but they seem to be more invested in trying to break down some inadequate fencing around a few delicate newly planted trees and shrubs.
