Come on in and talk. Or drop off one of your random bursts of verbal energy -- poem, limerick, story, top ten list, clerihew, essay, alliterative poem, rant, Surrealist or Dadaist poem, parody, cento, dirty joke, amusing syllepsis, dirty syllepsis, haiku, dirty haiku . . . to share.
Where is everybody?

I am here. 1800 miles away, brushing a cute kitty.

I have a question for the language experts.
Of what use is the "co" in "co-conspirator?"
Is it possible to be a conspirator without being a "co?"

It's like "inflammable". There's no "out".

Gail ... it's time for another "words that bug you" post post.

However ... "co-" is "more-than-one" rat.
.... which calls for some really, really, large squirrel traps.

Ok then, whycome do I hear "pleaded" all the time when "pled" is shorter and sweeter?
(I'm in a "legal" mood...apparently)

(Commence Zsa Zsa Gabor Accent)
Pled. She is a short and stocky Eastern European word that does not shave under her arms. Pleaded is more svelt and delightful to see and some would argue to say, even.
It is arbitrary, no?
(Discontinue Accent)
