First, make this recipe, using Betty Crocker Spice Cake mix and a cup of oatmeal or a cup of pecans. Nice and puffy. Lots of nutmeg flavor. Next time I'll use pecans instead of oatmeal (didn't have any this time.)
Next, cool them and put them on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 275 for 40 minutes, with the last ten minutes turned over on their tops. Cool, then and crunch or dunk. These are good. Think I'll call them "Cakemix Biscotti."
I presume you can turn any cake mix cookie into a faux-biscotti in this way. How about Devil's Food next time?
Update: Dang, somebody already thought of it.
Might be good with a bit of instant coffee

Right now I'm trying to double bake half of them to see what I get.
